About the Center
The Center is an initiative of CFP Board to create a more diverse and sustainable financial planning profession so that every American has access to competent and ethical financial planning advice. We bring together CFP® professionals, financial services firms, educators and experts to pool our collective resources, talent and insights to challenge the status quo and drive innovative, systemic solutions to advance the profession.

Advisory Bodies
The Center’s work in each of our three focus areas — Talent Pipeline, Diversity and Inclusion, and Knowledge for Practice — is guided by our advisory bodies whose members play an important role in setting the Center’s agenda and shaping its programming.
Advisory Council
Brings together leaders from financial services firms, academia, and experts in workforce development and diversity to guide the development of the Center’s programmatic agenda.
Campaign Development Committee
Provides strategic guidance and support for the Center’s Capital Campaign that raises necessary funds for the Center to implement and sustain its programming.
Workforce Development Advisory Group
Drives the Center’s efforts to improve the health of the talent pipeline by attracting and developing the next generation of financial planners.
Women's Initiative (WIN) Council
Advises the Center on the development of initiatives to increase the number of women in the financial planning profession.
Diversity Advisory Group
Provides guidance on the development of research and initiatives to advance racial and ethnic diversity within the profession.
