On October 1, 2019, CFP Board’s new Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct went into effect, with full enforcement on June 30, 2020. The new Standards are intended to ensure that the CFP® certification retains its value, integrity and relevance in order to maintain the public’s trust in the CFP® profession.
