About the Scholarship

The California Lutheran University Financial Planning Scholarship program was established jointly by the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning and California Lutheran University in an effort to develop a more diverse and sustainable financial planner workforce, including increasing the number of CFP® professionals from populations that are currently underrepresented in the financial planning profession in terms of gender, race and ethnicity.

The scholarship awards up to $5,000 per student seeking to complete California Lutheran University's Certificate in Financial Planning, which qualifies candidates to sit for the CFP® certification exam.
